![]() ![]() But we've got a new update for WS going through our QA now and it has some improvements/fixes to the save process. WS is also running older code, we update it every few months instead of every week like WD. If you're referring to WriterSolo, it still should mostly remember that stuff, though it gets a little edge-casier and there could be unintentional behavior in there. File > Project Backups should remember your settings each time. Is this with WriterDuet or WriterSolo? You mention saving, so I'd guess the latter, but if it's WD that definitely should not be the case for the same project (but for new projects, it'd ask you to pick the folder again). Maybe you have planned more for you app that I don't know about, so I'm sorry if I'm out of place here. (I would, personally, like a Linux application but the Windows version would definitely be more attractive for most.) I think there's a place for a Windows application that does the same. There's Highland 2, Slugline and Beat (free), but there all for Macs. What would be great is if someone could write Highland 2-like program for Windows (and maybe Linux). The advantage is that you can just type without having to put in special characters. You can try it by copying the above text and pasting it into a new file at. You can even create dual dialog simply by placing a "caret" after the second character's name. If you run the above through a "parser" (like 'Afterwriting) it will produce a well formatted PDF. Title: Document of a Screenplayįountain uses empty spaces and CAPS (and a few special characters in some cases) to differentiate between elements. I don't want to discourage you, but have you looked at Fountain? It's a much simpler syntax.
